Situated in the stunning Florida Mountain range near Deming, New Mexico, the Florida Mountain Ranch is a traditional working cattle ranch with excellent water. This is a solid desert ranch ready to go with good access close to town.
The Florida Mountain ranch is a portion of the historic Spanish Stirrup ranch also being offered in its entirety on this site. It is a well improved working cattle ranch steeped in artifacts and lore, dating back to the 1870's. Located in the upper Chihuahuan desert with rolling to mountainous terrain, it is a browse and grass ranch with excellent water.
In this offering there are +/- 15 deeded acres with a 7,880+/- acre BLM grazing lease, a 800+/- acre State of NM grazing lease, and approximately 2+/- sections of open range. It is permitted to run 199 head of cattle yearlong with five horses. The ranch has six pastures/traps and three sets of working corrals. There are seven wells all of which have been recently reworked with new pumps and equipment within the past three years. There is approximately one mile of pipeline that runs to a storage tank and one drinker. There are also springs in the upper country.
The ranch has excellent feed with a good mix of browse and grass. The browse includes mesquite, acacia, hackberry, Mormon tea. Thirty-eight different species of grasses have been identified on the ranch, among them are grama grasses, bush muhly, and tabosa.
